Mega Man XZ: The Maverick Hunters

Hints and tips

This section deals with some handy hints you might want to know about the game. Some people might consider some the information revealed below as spoilers (but most of the other guide sections contain spoilers anyway), so please don't read this section unless you've already been through the game or you truly want to know.

Once you beat the game, you can restart the game again with all your Cyber-elf effects available at the beginning. After the credits play, save your game when it asks you to, then once you begin the game you'll have all the Cyber-elf effects from the previous game. You'll have to build up your weapon levels again from scratch though.
You can enter Hard Mode after completing the game by holding down the L button when you select New Game on the Title Screen. The only difference will be that you can't charge up any of Zero's weapons except for the Shield Boomerang.
You can enter the Ultimate Mode of the game by finding and using all of the Cyber-elves in the normal setting of the game. You'll also gain the Jackson elf in the process. Once you beat the game again, you can enter Ultimate Mode by holding R while selecting New Game on the Title Screen. In this mode you'll still have all of the permanent elf effects active, as well as all the weapons at their maximum weapons. You can also perform charged attacks by pressing certain key combinations.
You can gain the Jackson elf by finding and using all of the Cyber-elves in the game (See the Cyber-elf guide for more info).
